91 Civic dies randomly
I have a 91 civic dx hatch with a b18b1 swap, its got the stock dx harness with the motor harness wired in and a p75 ecu. around 2 o'clock when its warm and i drive it it usually runs good, but when its colder out it starts to cut out. the gas gauge starts to go all the way down past e and the blinker lights on the cluster light up a bit. Sometimes it completely dies and once and a while I have to flip the ignition switch on and off to get the starter to work. i have a really high idle but when i unplug the iac it drops down to normal with a little idle fluctuation. i just changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor and no change. checked the cam timing and its good, not sure about ignition timing but i don't think that would cause the motor to just die if it runs good sometimes. i have my battery in the back, but all my grounds are good, for the battery and motor. it dies mostly when i use the blinkers or turn on the headlights or brake lights. my alternator and battery were both tested good, so im not sure what the problem could be. i have a switch ignition and push to start but i rechecked all the wiring and everything solid. the only thing the lights affect is the car running and the fuel gauge. the lights don't dim and the heat and everything else works fine.
