Default Tineys EK [Girl Build]

Hi HT This is my first time doing a build thread so bare with me! My first EK build was about 4 years ago, with my stepdad who was more of an american car type of person so I felt as if I wasnt getting any, i guess.. adequate information on everything. After about 5-6k into it and 3 long years of working on it from time to time it finally hit the road and will stay my daily driver & this is what it looks like today:

Long story short, I learned more about hondas in general to make my next EK build exactly to my taste without spending so much money and time on things that arent needed and to NEVER rush things. Although my new build has little to no work to be done, I plan to take the time in making it perfect. This thread will be about my second EK build that I bought through a friend. Special thanks to the men that have been helping me: Jimmy, Tom, Tim & Bryan! And now on to the pictures.. ENJOY!

Day I got her..

Trunk had a dent but luckily the car came with another clean rear hatch..

Took all the front end parts off..

Took off the 5 lug with 16" jdm itrs..

I had another set that was originally for my other EK but I decided to sell with the 15" itrs since there is no reason to have two..

Time to take out the motor..

I never really thought about making a build thread so I didnt get any pictures of it when it had full interior which was straight up NASTY because there was so much mold everywhere but here are the after pictures.

Oops, kinda confusing. My first EK build had a y8(which is complete already) and my current one came with a b16 which will stay in there.

HAPPY GIRL! I've always wanted a set of tiens and im basically getting these for free because of the coupe I picked up.

Parts I took off so far from coupe:
- 96 spec jdm itr 4x114 conversion
- Superstreet Tien coilovers
- CTR lip

** & sorry for the crappy pictures. I dont always carry my DSLR, so I have to use my cell phone camera.

More of the parts I took off the 97 coupe (donor car)

& how it sits after taking all parts off, somewhat stock.

I also purchased some SIR headlights way before I even picked up this coupe so I didnt expect to end up with both SIR and CTR. But at least I can get a feel for both and decide which way to go.

I say keep both sets of lights that way you can switch between the CTR and SIR look.

So.. Finally have time to work on it since I'm out of school for a couple weeks.

I got lucky on these SIR bumpers because I had a company mistakenly send me the wrong year airwalker bumper which was supposed to go on my 99 civic hatch. Decided to just keep it and sell because it would be a hassle just to ship back since I waited so long to receive it. After a couple months someone hit me up and wanted to trade for these OEM SIR bumpers. I've had them for almost a year and never had anything to put it on. Now that I do, its time to put them to use!

Gotta get these repainted, might even have to buy new ones

FREE grill thanks to my sister having a extra one in her trunk lol

Also bought some OEM fenders and hood

Heres the extra trunk that came with the car itself since the other one is damaged.

Then took out alll the windows to get it ready for paint.

So, I originally decided to go sir with an addition of other parts to have a different look but.. me being my indecisive self, I now have my mind set on something I'm 100% committed to. It saves me a bunch of time rather than going the sir route and waiting on the lip I wanted. Pics soon to be posted!
