This is my first ever post, thanks for any help you can offer. When I downshift to pass there is normal surge of power with increased rpm then after about two seconds there is a major increase in power which I have never had in any other car with auto trans. I believe this must be the vtec opening valves but wonder if there is an adjustment needed to make this more syc'd with the downshift. I have tried searching but can't find relevent info. Your help would be appreciated.

 

Make sure your crankcase if full of oil, VTEC will not engage if there is low oil, and verify that there are no leaks at the VTEC spool valve. #9
