Default my 95 coupe

I guess you can call this a build thread even though all current mods were done by previous owner. Anyway here is a pic of it:

Not too sure on what has been modded or not. Obvious cold air installed, new radiator. Theres no power steering, to what extent i don't know. As of right now here is my plan:

Replacing headers(completely ****ed on the bottom side)

Getting body work done eventually pearl black with yellow accents and really want Batman logo on hood someday( im a geek)

Want to get new intake manifold.

Want to go turbo in the long run.

Will keep up on updates as things get better.

thanks man. Oh i should probably mention some stuff i did to it the other day i totally forgot about. Nothing dramatic, changed fuel filter, got a FCS done on it and swapped air filters with a buddy. the air filter now in it is ment to be for a turbo'd engine but still works. and much cooler looking. Its a blue honeycomb dome filter. It'll match the blue venom intake manifold i want to install.

its already pretty low and you cant tell in the picture but my driveway is a hill haha. The current headers a damaged from it being too low also. Pancake flat on the bottom with a huge hole in it. Already have the new headers ordered. Should be installed by the end of the week if i can get too it.

Did some TLC under the hood today. Went over it about 3 times.

Unfortunately the block still looks shotty. Seems like there is some sort of light blue paint on it. And of course that horrible denty valve cover.

And lastly heres a shot of my honeycomb air filter. I love the look. Im a sucker for anything honeycomb shaped. Thats all for today. New header should be here tomorrow. Keep ya posted on progress.

Right on man I'm glad to see your doin it good. I am buying my 98 civic this weekend ill take pics and share with you my new/first project. I'm excited. I might have questions and concerns. I'd really appreciate the help. The car as far as I know has no mods whatsoever and a grip load of miles. But can't beat it for 500.

And i was really happy when i found the brand label!

I was wondering why my driver side looked a little lower then the passenger side. Haha

I also found a black( non messed up looking) spark plug cover in my trunk along with a gauge cluster that has some sort of On/Off switch and **** labeled "Blue/Green" that can be mounted to the dash connected to the gauge cluster. Not sure what the knobby thing does. But im guessing its a color changer for the gauge cluster???

Here is a question to anyone paying attention to this thread. Im pretty sure ive made it clear i dont know much about tuning or mechanics so this will probably sound like a dumb one. The struts need to be replaced. Do i need skunk2 struts because of the suspension kit or will any struts do?

What header(Just one remember) are you running/exhaust. Bay looks better after you cleaned it body does need work tho. What did you pay ?

Get a new filter those "mushroom" one's aren't the best AEM or K&N work well

No idea on what brand the header is that is on right now. New OEM header show be showing up tomorrow. Body work is the last thing im going to get done other then replace the front bumper cover and scrap the fog light cause they dont work. I paid 1200 for it which i feel was legit seeing how im not planning on adding to much more to it other than maybe a new intake manifold and the OEM Header which i got for stupid cheap.

Why not go aftermarket on the header you're planning to build it right ? 1.2K isn't to bad. Skunk2 makes great intake mani's for a decent price a bigger tb would'nt hurt either

Im on a limited budget until i sell my old car(85 k car >.<). I found a venom intake manifold that i like but it a bit pricy. And i apologize for the douche comment on the other thread but it struck my eyes as a little douchy. Im sure your not a douche though.

He's talking about his suspension bro. Not exhaust. Mitch I would say you new to aim for the same brand. It all fits together. Just like a body kit they don't mix all that well. Although that's appearance so a better metaphor would be shapes. You CANT fit a triangle in a square or circle so you might have adjustment problems. Go for the brand the coilovers are man that's your best bet.

Oh I got you. He got a pretty good deal I think. I'm getting mine hopefully this weekend for 5 bills. I know it's a four door 98 civic but that's all I know. I should have pics soon and more info and ill let you guys know what's up. I need input on what I should do first to it since I'm assuming its damn near all stock and I think it's super high on miles.

And kay, ive been browsing skunk2s website and i cant find just replacement struts only entire coilover replacements or shocks or strut bars. Ill have to take it to a mechanic and find out if they can find some that will fit.

2.2K i'd practice you'r rattle can skills then DIY then throw a clear coat on there i've seen some half decent rattle can jobs. And kaysquared if it has high miles look into rebuilding it or swapping no point in putting money into a high mileage engine.

I wish i knew how many miles my b16a has on it. Im not sure how long ago it was swapped and the odometer was never reset when the swap happened.
