Default TCU form 91 coup compatible with TCU from 92 sedan

Hi all,

Just wondering if the TCU from my 92 Accord parts car (4 door) is compatible with my 91 coupe? They look quite different from each other. The one from the 92 is labeled 3EX and the 1991 is labeled 3LZ. Thanks!

As long as the cars match they should work. I mean everything, engine size, transmission type, etc.

The 91 Coupe has a F22A4 engine
The 92 Sedan has a F22A6 engine
Not sure about the transmission models?

Thanks

As in, auto or manual. I think you should be fine, but don't quote me on that. Honestly you could just test it, no harm will come from it.

What is wrong with the original ECU?

Oh, yes auto. Nothing wrong at this time but I read allot about them failing and wanted to have a replacement ready to go to save on downtime. I did't want to risk trying it until I knew it couldn't do any harm. Thanks

Ok, I'll give the 1992 unit a try when I get some time and see what happens if it can't do damage. Thanks
