What the hell happened to my car?
Civic '97 EX, 150k mi
So this morning I went to the gas station because I was about to run out of gas. I topped it off which is something I never do. I start the car and the car starts going crazy! Violently shaking and like making a chugging/knocking sound. I then take out the keys and it's still doing it! So I get back in the car and move it away from the pumps & the car eventually just died out. No power at all in the car. No lights, no nothing.
WTF happened? I'm pretty sure I flooded my engine because I can smell gas when I take off the oil cap, but will that not make it start? Or even turn on? What do I do from here?

CEL? When was your last full ignition tune up? Last time I had a similar problem, one of the spark plug wires had a hole in the insulation and it was grounding out on the motor. Ironically enough, happened immediately after a fill-up for me too. Not saying that's your problem though.
Start off by pulling the CEL, assuming it's on (it should be).
