Engine dies at idle. need help please
Just bought a 96 accord, automatic. I needed a gas saver and got it very cheap. Car tends to idle very low, alot of the time even dies at red lights, etc. Right now the throttle cable is tightened so that it idles up a bit to stay running. Tried cleaning the throttle body, and IACV. No CEL. The people I bought it from said the engine has been replaced. Anyone know anything that could cause this?

How does it run? Could need a full tune up. Spark plugs, wires cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter. The usual culprits. Also check your vacuum lines and grounds.

is your check engine light on? First of all, make sure you have no engine light. Next, check if you have spark on each spark plug (are you wire in the correct firing order)? Check if your fuel pump primes on, when key turned to the on position. Keep us updated.
Runs great, no misfires, smooth through rpms. No CEL, no pending codes, new plugs, wires cap, and rotor. Checked for vacuum leaks, none found. No fuel smoke, doesn't smell rich. I've heard this year range had trouble with TCC solenoids that may could cause this concern? I can get it to work tomorrow and put it on a rack and check this solenoid if possible. I do have AllData and whatnot at work, just would like to get some ideas together before I go digging everywhere. Thanks for responses
