I had some damage to the 2nd gear in my GSR hydro transmission
(countershaft gear), I was told that a 92-93 cable tranny gear is the same and I could use it to replace my damaged gear. I have compared part numbers and they are different I also googled it and didn't really come up with much. Any information that can be provided on this gear swap would be a great help.

i doubt it. tha cable gsrs are slightly diff. than other b trannys gearing wise....is the damage you speak of on the teeth that the sleeve engauges on and how bad is it?

 

No, they are different. Replaced with a new gear directly from Acura.
