Default Rattle at rear windscreen driving me crazy (DC5)

Hi bros, i am driving a DC5 type S manual.

I am having this annoying rattle at the rear windscreen area when driving over uneven road. I had all the plastic covers around the rear windscreen removed and drove it over the same uneven road, rattle still persists.

Got my son to sit at the rear to identify the area and it looks like it is near to the driver right side of the rear windscreen. When he pressed his hands against it, rattles is gone. When he stop pressing it, the rattle returns.

One strange symptom is that when it rains or after a car wash, and I immediately drive it over the same uneven road, the rattle will not appear. Does it mean that the cause is coming from outside of the cabin. Seems like water on the exterior of the car appears to have some relation to the rattle symptom.

This rattle is driving me crazy. Does anyone have the same problem or encountered such rattle at the rear windscreen and had solved it?

Hopefully someone can offer some advise.

Thank you in advance.

Eric.

Looking at the parts schematic only thing I can see is a worn fastener. Remove the glass and replace the all the fasteners since you're gonna be in there anyways. You're also gonna have to take the wiper off to get the glass out.

Try putting silicone around Window, in between crevices. I don't give a **** about rattles, when you're turbo and have mounts it just doesn't matter. If you wanna spend the money have a glass company reseal it.

Hi, I did a trial to localise the rattling noise.

Poured water along the lower strip of gap of the rear windscreen and drove it along the usual bumpy road and the rattling noise is gone immediately.

Picture of the area that I poured water is attached below.

The next day, when the water has dried up at the rear windscreen, the rattle surfaced again when going over the bumpy road.

With that, what does it mean, do I have to remove the glass and reseal the windscreen?

Regards

Yes, I would have it resealed. I've had that numerous times here at Acura of Brookfield

YYou could try silicone from inside or outside, but you will get rid of it 100% getting it professionally resealed.

Agree. If they can come to you and replace just about any windshield for $200-400 then it shouldn't cost too much to have that resealed.
