Default Any full DIY front cross member removal?

I did a google search and HT search. Most the links I found are dead. The car has over 200k miles and the subframe is bent.

2003 Civic EX Auto.. if that helps at all as well.

Any help would be great.

Thank

Its fairly straight forward. Are you planning to get anything else replaced along with the subframe, or just the subframe itself? Because, odds are that if the subframe is bent... the mounting points may be as well.

To tell you the truth I'm not sure, I wanted to replace the motor while I was at it. Since my car has 210k miles

If you're ONLY looking to replace the subframe itself, then I'd suggest unbolting the rear engine mount (the single bolt connecting the wishbone to the bushing), as well as the front mount (if you have one). Then, unbolt the lower control arms from the subframe, along with the two small rear brackets that are additional subframe mounts to the chassis. Unbolt the anti-sway bar bushing mounts from the subframe. Sadly, you're going to have to disassemble your exhaust to get the subframe out, but that should be the last thing in the way before you can remove the 4 main bolts holding the subframe to the car.
