Uh, it looks like a BMC manifold, i'm sure you've seen pics of the manifolds made by James @ BMC. The results speak for themselves, BMC manifolds were already a great and proven manifold to be used by alot of top racers.

I dont have any pics of the manifold as of now, i saw this post on FB, wanted to share. With all the hating going on i figured it'd show some positive results, reguardless of how you feel, the design is a improvement.

Thanks for sharing. Those numbers are ridiculous. Hopefully this will end some of the kneejerk Skunk2 hate.

Those wondering it is a 85x95 b20vtec, stock sleeves.

Great gains, Ultra looks real good.
The test I am waiting for is Pro manifold vs. Ultra on a healthy ~85x89.

The test im looking to see is the numbers shaved on 1/4's mainly. I wanna see this ultra manifold put to use in the area it was clearly designed for big motor/big turbo setups. Hoping to see some changes in the "big guys" setups

^^ For exactly the same reasons I'm pretty interested to see how it does on smaller builds, lol

Omg he's reving too high on stock sleeves you cant do that.

But seriously, this is a good post. Thats an awesome gain for a manifold swap.

nice gains. are those uncorrected numbers or SAE? im curious if these are back to back numbers, or if the plot was based off of a dyno run he did in the past. I remember he made 271 awhile ago with the BMC. another point id like to bring up is the outcome MIGHT not be the same if both were running the 90mm TB. The Intake pipe length/diamter will also play a huge role. anyways, good job Skunk2 on the Ultra series

I like the SK2 manifold, a lot actually. However, I also would like the two to be compared with identical sized TBs at the very least. The data can be considered skewed without at least that constant.

BMC manifold opening wasn't designed around using a 90mm i can assume. The best overall power will come from using what the inlet of the manifold is used for. Tapper runners, are where its at..

Jason's best time is a 10.5 @ 130.23 We'll see how he does sunday with the new found power.. Then hopefully.. he'll make another jump ..

I agree. It's not like there was an embargo on 90 mm TBs. It's fair to compare the Skunk2 to any other race manifold regardless of the TB opening the designers chose.

bmc made many different manifolds for bseries. he also offered options on the runner length and plenum volume

the BMC should have been made to the spec's of lumpkins engine. From doing some reading on his car, he isnt just going to throw parts at it and run what it does.

Even if the dynos are at different times, the shapes of the graph are very very different. There is no denying that.
