2002 RSX Base

Pull in to my garage yesterday and my headlights go out while I'm parking it. Flip on the high beams and they still work.

- Started by checking the headlight fuses. Both were good, tried replacing them anyways, still bad.
- Double checked relays. High beams run through these, since they work I am assuming those are still good.
- Checked bulbs, still clean. Tried a different set, still nothing.

Relays do click when I turn go to turn the low beams on, so I am assuming the switch is good. To my knowledge nothing in the fuse box under the dash should have any effect on the headlights. Could be a ground issue, but it would be odd for both of them to have an issue at the same time.

Electrical issues are not my strong point, so any further ideas would be much appreciated.

 

Did the 02 RSX have the same low-beam recall as the 02 EP3?

 

I guess I am unaware of that one. After work I will grab a multimeter and check to make sure power is getting to the bulbs. Might as well try a brand new pair of bulbs as well.

 

Search for the 02 EP3 low-beam recall, maybe you're having the same issue

 

You checked upstream, verified micu and controls work properly, then downstream and bulletins need to be checked. I can check later today, I have access, Acura tech.
