Default ECT test...

90 civic si, D16z6, p28 ecu. obdo to obd1 jumper harness.

I've been cleaning up my engine harness and running a few tests. Right now I am focusing on the ECT sensor, the two prong sensor just below the dizzy. This sensor shares a ground with the TPS and IAT.

I spliced in a new connector and figured why not test it.

The connector failed the circled test, measuring 5v. I also tested the IAT and came up with the same measurement.

I then swapped ECU's and the same results were produced. Could there be an issue with my wiring? Or even the jumper harness? Hard to believe I got two bum brains.

I would go straight to D22 and see if you get continuity to ground with ignition on.
Also directly at D13 to D22 check for 5v between the 2.

If you get ground and 5v in the two tests above, then it IS your wiring for sure.
Check your firewall connectors, jumper harness, etc.

Hey 4dr, how's it going?

Am I looking at this correct, I am seeing 5+v between red/white and green/white on the connector -- meaning all is well?
