Q about factory 1990 CRX Si sway bar.
After reading through most of the FAQ up top I still am wondering about a few things. First of all, has anyone here ever used adjustable end links for the factory OEM 90 CRX Si? My end links are in pretty bad shape and want to replace them. I was looking at options and there are lots of rear end links (adjustable aftermarket) available. I jut haven't seen anyone using them.
This leads me to my next Q. Say someone wanted to upgrade the rear 15mm sway bar but retain the factory mounting? I haven't seen anyone do this. From what I can tell it would seem that all aftermarket sway bars do not utilize the 90 Si factory mount. I def do not want to go the ASR route. I guess the bottom line is does anyone make a larger diameter rear sway bar that would use the OEM factory CRX Si mounts/dimensions?

ST (suspension techniques) sway bars use factory bolt locations for their kits brackets which mount the bar. So its not like the factory mount but its not like the ASR.
For the adjustable end links question, I'm not sure you'll get "adjustability" out of adjustable end links.
Let me explain, Adjustable sway bars are adjusted by changing the mounting point of the link thus changing the angle (like this: \ I / ) not by simply adjusting the length. If you get the ST rear sway bar kit you'll see what I mean.
I dont think there are any adjustable front bars out there.
Maybe you're just after a replacement other that stock and not the adjustability?
That would be fine, just keep in mind it may start to squeek after a while (thats what I hear).

Thanks for info. I did more interweb digging today and found out that the Tanabe Sustec rear sway bar is actually a direct replacement for the factory CRX Si. Uses the same mounts just in 20mm. Plus it isn't terribly expensive. I think this is the solution I was looking for.

Length-adjustable end-links are made help remove any possible pre-load out of your sway bar. Pre-load in the bar causes the car to behave slightly different left to right. Also, they allow you to adjust the angle of the links relative to the bars lever-arm. Typically perpendicular is best.
The main problem is that eliminating preload is a nightmare. I do it on my RC cars and it's one of the biggest PITAs you can do during the setup process. The perpendicular thing is not so difficult.

mugen makes a 22mm rear bar direct replacement.
kind of unobtainium at this time. but they are floating around.
JDM SiR and UK VTi are 16mm rear bars too.
