Default rear sway bar question!!

Hello,

would like to get some details about installing EK9 CTR rear sway bar (guess it is 22mm) on my civic si 00.

Will the stock si endlinks work with the CTR swar bar?
Can i install it on the stock frame?

finally, searched for long time and couldt get an answer ...any body know what it the part number for OEM CTR rear sway bar.

Thanks

You need a subframe brace, and stock endlinks will work.

Without searching, why would an EM1 require a subframe brace; if it already has a stock rear anti-sway bar installed? EM1 has 12mm (or 13mm) rear bar, so he is just upgrading.

Not arguing, just looking for clarification.

I think because the stiffer sway bar transfers stress into the subframe and may cause some deflection, so a brace would help. its not necessary for install but from what ive read, the bigger sway bars need bracing.

The CTR has a factory reinforced subframe, the EM1 does not.

If you call nuts a enforcement, sure.

EM1 subframes are the same as the other civics. Non SI's just don't have the nuts inside.

I generally thought you can go up to 17mm before you need a brace, and even til then, it'll still be sketchy..id run the brace just to be on the safe side.
