Ok I toke my car into the honda doctor and they said that i need a new distrubtor,plug wires, spark plugs, and some rotor turned. I know the plugs wires and plugs will only be like 70 but how much does it cost for a new distrubotor and the rotor turned I have no clue what rotor the meant. Also my car has 67ish k miles on it did any one else have to replace these. Thanks in advance

what year is your integra? it might be the distributor cap they may need to replace.

 

What Distributer cap and Rotor? A comlpete tune up is like about 100 bucks from the dealer.

 

I have a 94 acura integra when you guys got your 60k tune up what did u have to get done. Also he said i need a whole new distrubutor is that just b/s or do I really need to. Also what rotor is he talkign about when it needs to be turned. Thanks

Sounds like a normal tune-up... Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor. If they're turning a rotor, then it's likely your brake rotors. Are they warped? Parts from my Acura dealer runs about $60. The ignition stuff is not difficult to do yourself, but you may have some trouble with the distributor rotor screw (it strips very easily).

I just got it all done this afternoon along with an oil change, and for free (used my free tune up included in the emissions warranty extension for most '96 and '97 Acuras).

 

how much did it cost for your distributor cap and rotor thing? How hard is it to install and what steps are involved? because my car started dying on me so is ther any way that there is more of a problem than this?

id also like to know to becuase i just changed my sparks, cap and rotor. it felt good for about 2 days but it started feeling weak again. timing belt maybe? 84,000 mi. on 96 LS.

A distributor shouldnt be more than 125 or so... you can make any 94-01 b series vtec distributors work. just need to modify the wiring harness if its a non obd I. I got a 99 for 90$ and put it on my ls.
