JDM Headlights: Rewire H4 to both high and low beams
Does anyone know how to do this? I have the JDM (look alike) headlights that uses H1 for low beam and H4 for high. Does anyone know the schematics to rewire your H4 so you use one set of bulbs for both low and high beams?

nonono I have the wire harness from 9006 -> H1 and 9005 -> H4.. I want to get rid of my H1 bulbs and use H4 for both high and low beam, which would require some kind of wiring since H4 are dual filament bulbs and both high and low beam signal would be sent to the same bulb...

you mean 9006->h4(low beams) and 9005->h1(high beams). the real deal stanley and look alike jdm headlights use h4 for low and h1 for high.
I'm curious about this also. I have the same lights and tried to do the same. I took the red power that goes to the H1 (high) and connected it to the unused tab on the H4 (which I assumed was for the high beam filament) and took the black ground from the H1 (high) and connected it to the ground tab on the H4 (where the original ground for the H4 low is at. When I turned on my lights the high beams instantly came on and stayed on with the lights without activating them from inside the car. I not a very good electrician so I put it back and left it at that.
I would really like to do this and use the H1 housing for some sort of fog light. It sucks because I have PIAA Xtreme White H4s and they put out a really bright white light. Then I put my beams on (stock bulb) and it looks so dirty brown. It's a shame because the PIAA H4 has an unused Platinum white high beam. It is either do this mod or by whitier H1s. I can't let myself spend that money ($60-$90) on the new H1s when this mod seems so simple.
I'm baffled. Any ideas? I think I'll look into this harness at urbanimports.com

Just looked on urbanimport.com. The harness is the same thing that already comes with the headlights. I can't see what else to do. Electricians help!!!!!!
Here's what I did. Tap into the red wire on the H1 and run a wire to the unused terminal on the H4. When you trigger the high beams, it will turn on both the H1 AND the H4 high beam.
A word of caution: The factory harness usually can't handle this much juice and MAY melt. I am running seperate relays for the high and low beams and thicker gauge wire. They are wired to pull power straight from the battery and ground straight to the battery. I also have 80W/100W H4's and so when the highs are on, it's got 470w of total light output!!
