My GSR Build Need Suggestions
Hey people i just bought a gsr complete head and bare block p72 ecu for 500
I want to build from scratch i want to keep it low compression pistons to turbo later
But i want to keep it as a daily driver
Block
Head Gasket
Acl race bearings
Arp main studs
Supertech blockguard
Type r oil pump
Gates racing kevlar timing belt
Ati race super damper crank pully
Darton mid sleeves
Im still missing pistons rods the the crank
I know that they sell stroker kits that come with pistons rods and crank
I was thinking cp or je pistons
Head
Ferrea competion plus valves
Supertech bronze valve guides
Ferrea valves seals
Arp headstuds
Here is where i need help
Camshafts
Cam gears
Intake mani
Throttlebody (include mm size for a good performance)
Valvesprings and retainers
Looking for suggestion plz help

I recommend ITR cams or skunk2 Pro ones for boost skunk 2 Pro Series valve springs Supertech valves valve guides and retainers and keepers
Victor X intake manifold skunk 2 70mm throttle body

i love these threads lol
i want to build an engine "for whatever"
if you gonna turbo then build it for turbo from the start.
NA and turbo requires different types of parts.
the manifold runner length and plenum size
shorter runners bigger plenum size for turbo
longer runners not so big plenum size
dont know about throttle body but many people seem to be using 65-68mm most likely because they are always on sale from different shops.
turbo needs stiffer springs than all motor to offset the boost pressure on top of the valves. so they dont float.
and there are cams designed for boost as well since it also requires different specs for best performance.
thats all i know about turbo
hope it helps.

Never seen anyone build for turbo "in the future". They build N/A THEN work around THAT to boost.
What do you need Darton sleeves for a daily for?
Do some real research-block guard isn't needed.
Where'd you copy this list from? Not one horsepower goal stated. Can't go on a trip and not know the destination.
How about if your really gonna boost it save up and buy the turbo and fuel setup for the power goal you have in mind before you build the motor. Or build the motor for boost and leave it on the engine stand until you have everything to turbo it.
