i love these threads lol
i want to build an engine "for whatever"
if you gonna turbo then build it for turbo from the start.

NA and turbo requires different types of parts.

the manifold runner length and plenum size
shorter runners bigger plenum size for turbo
longer runners not so big plenum size
dont know about throttle body but many people seem to be using 65-68mm most likely because they are always on sale from different shops.

turbo needs stiffer springs than all motor to offset the boost pressure on top of the valves. so they dont float.
and there are cams designed for boost as well since it also requires different specs for best performance.
thats all i know about turbo hope it helps.

Mistake. Will be a DOG out of boost. Pick one; N/A or boost. Build for that as stated. "Boosting later" means by all accounts you will NEVER boost it.

Never seen anyone build for turbo "in the future". They build N/A THEN work around THAT to boost.

What do you need Darton sleeves for a daily for?
Do some real research-block guard isn't needed.

Where'd you copy this list from? Not one horsepower goal stated. Can't go on a trip and not know the destination.

How about if your really gonna boost it save up and buy the turbo and fuel setup for the power goal you have in mind before you build the motor. Or build the motor for boost and leave it on the engine stand until you have everything to turbo it.
