testing waters 2000 civic ex coupe bone stock
so i'm putting my 2000 honda civic ex coupe up to see what offers i can get on it. the car is in phenomenal condition and is completely unmolested.
-background: i'm the third owner of the car, previous owner had the vehicle for most of its life (12 years) and the car spent most of its life down south. I purchased the car from him with no compression in cyl 1 the other three cylinders read 150-155psi. so i pulled the head ans as suspected there was a burn valve, so i replaced both exhaust valves on cyl #1 even though only the one was bad, all the other valves were inspected and look to be in fine condition. replaced the passenger side mirror that was broken when i bought the car. all parts that were replaced by me were with genuine honda parts (i work at a honda dealership) so why not. I have reciepts of work done to the car over the last 10 years supplied by the previous owner. thousands of dollars in repairs/maint.
-after replacing the valves the car is truly great, it runs like a champ, is completely stock and unmolested. i average about 29city/36hwy as far as mpg goes. the car does have the original d16y8 engine in it.
-the interior is a 9.5/10 absolutely no tears, burns, or any imperfections. has the original honda floor mats are in the car the driver mat is worn significantly the other three are like new. pwr locks, windows, sunroof. working keyless remote included.
-the exterior is also in great condition, absolutely NO RUST, paint is slightly faded in some spots but not very bad at all compared to most older red honda i see. the front drivers fender was replaced due to a fender bender the original owner was in and, the previous owner acquired a couple very minor scratches in the paint over the left rear wheel well.
-the car has 166,xxx mi on it has fresh 2/14 pa state inspection on it tires are in great condition, eveything on the car is in great working order and great condition. would make a perfect daily driver or great start for someone to build
