Tranny question part 2 dealing w/ D-series
Does anyone know if the d16a6 gears are interchangeable w/ my d16y8?
i'd like to take 1st gear and possibly 2nd gear out of te a6 and put them in my y8...i need the shorter gears to get me out of the hole.

guess you haven't used the search function.
BTW 1st gear is the same ratio, second is damn near identical.
Besides, the L3 (A6) tranny uses shorter main and counter shafts, therefore no chance of even working.
