When I push down on my brake pedal, the brake lights don't come on. I checked the fuses and bulbs, everything looks fine. When I turn on the hazards, the lights come on just fine. 2006 Honda Accord, any ideas??

Have you tried looking at the wiring?

 

The first thing to check is the third-brake light. If it too is not working, the brake-light switch, a bad fuse or an unplugged harness is likely.

I have an older Toyota Camry (99) also besides my Accord and they are famous for breaking the wires inside the trunk lid. I had to add some butt joints for under $2 and everything is working great now. If she has or knows someone with a multi meter, that would be my next step to see if she has power to the bulbs each separately.
