94 Accord LX auto trans weight = 145 lbs!
This may be a ridiculous thread but I couldn't find this info anywhere on the interwebs. The shipping weight of an auto trans for a F22B2 is 145.6 lbs!!! That is drained of all fluid, all sensors and brackets removed, no torque converter. I packed it up myself. Just a couple layers of cardboard.
That is ****** crazy.
Shipping it to my older brother for an overhaul. 94 Accord clean title. Best $600 ever spent.

Yeah they're ******* ridiculous heavy. But the case holds up to some ****. Mine took a hell of a beating before cracking completely in half. Stayed together and drive for a few miles too. Once i took it out it came apart.

I had a low-miles JDM one shipped to me from NJ. They are very heavy. The semi driver met me at a gas station and we loaded it up. When I got home I had to unload it. With the torque converter and starter that thing was very heavy.
Here's it wrapped up, very nicely I might add. The company I got it from is very good.

Here is is with the TQ taken out:

One of the main reasons I did a conversion, they're stupid heavy lol Especially compared to the MT. I picked the MT out of the parts car and carried it with one arm (clutch/starter in the other) to the building at the junkyard.
What's the company's name and how much did you pay?
I'm fixing this car up to leave in San Diego for my brother and I when we visit, rather than renting a car. I like it so much that I want to buy another for myself. No tan interior, and stick.

This is the exact transmission and place I bought it from:

It was about 350$ with shipping. Heck of a deal, its a great unit. I think it would be a rare thing if you got a defective unit. Only thing that was wrong with mine is one of the metal hoses was bent. Swapped it with the old one and it was fine.
