OK hey guys on my 96 civic ex 2 door my windows were working on and off .. so after rearch i found out that the door pigtail wires break and that was the issue on mine. A handfull of wires are off and sombody tried to fix it ... bottomline is i cut one off a 99 civic and the wire colors didnt match up to my 96 ..so i drove back to wilmington (pick ya part ) and found one from a 96 .. ALL WIRES MATCHED EXCEPT I HAVE ONE THICK BLUE WIRE with a black stripe left over ..and its hot comming from the car side ... the haynes book is complicated .... and i know keyless entry would have diffrernt color wires ... and diagrams ? oh yea only the passenger side window is working now ( with the pigtail i put in) ... before both were working .....
A simple way to know if you have keyless, is to take off the guard thats under the steering wheel (knee guard?) And look under with a flash light, youll see a black box thats around 4x3 inches, with 4 different connectors. If you see that, then you should have keyless....wiring im not so sure lol, hope this helps at all.
