Default One of those Exhaust Questions

sorry for this, So My buddy has I think he said "dizzy or bizzy" 3" header he is going to trade me for my ITR cams. Of course I would like to do my whole exhaust @ 3" especially after reading a thread even though my car is NA high comp the dyno tests proved 3" made best power all the way through on a similar build. Here is the 3" exhaust I was looking @

Description: Skunk2 Mega Power RR Exhaust System 76MM (a hair shy of 3")
Base Price: $573.99
Your Discount: 18.00 %
Your Price: $470.67
MSRP: $631.39
* Weight: 43 lbs.

Year Make Model SubModel
1996 - 2000 HONDA CIVIC N/A
Cylinders Liters Fuel Type Fuel Delivery Aspiration Engine Designation
ALL ALL ALL ALL ALL ALL
Notes
Hatchback; JDM Model

Says some Fab required and I see in notes (hatchback JDM model) I have a 99 SI Coupe with an Invidia adjustable test pipe. Being that the notes up top say it will fit and the notes on bottom say it is for a jdm HB do you think this exhaust will fit? I am unsure as to how different HB and SI exhaust lengths are. Thanks ahead of time.

I think he meant Bisi "Bisimoto". I'm almost sure they didn't make them in 3", it's a lot bigger than you think. Whats your setup, 3" exhaust systems are more beneficial for highly built n/a and force induction.

Toda Built B16 head with blox stage 2 cams and aem cam gears, RC 440 CC injectors, 255 FP, GSR bottom end with Type R internals, 2001 ITR trans. comp 11:5 at the moment but would like to raise it hear in the future after I build a little more.

My current Headers are DC 2.25" 4-2-1 stainless steel feeding to an invidia 2.5" test pipe and a Greddy 2.5" catback. The headers make alot of noise and there is no cracks or anything it just sounds flat out like they are choking up (dont see how being its feeding to a quarter inch bigger pipe) maybe thats just the noise I hear all the time is the air pushing through into bigger pipping. I just want my exhaust to be the same size all the way through. Maybe I will just snag a set of Toda reps. Thanks for clearing up those headers I just read about them on hear in a forum via search and people from bisi themselves were saying you need a flex pipe, thinner radiator etc.. They look crazy but awesome lol. Right now I have my REV limiter set @ 9k and she pulls hard all the way through, Had the car going 145-150 or so @ like 3 AM on the highway when nobody was out the other night just to see how long it took to get there and was really suprised how well the power band was through the gearing. so you think I should keep the dcs? and get a 2.25" exhaust if I am staying @ 11:5 comp or go for 2.5" The quitter the better. Already dialed in on a WS2 exhaust but even those are only 3.5mm shy of 2.5" I think @ 60mm.

get rid of the 4-2-1 and go with a 4-1 2.5'' collector.. you really dont need anything over 2.5'' piping, as said earlier, unless your motor is built( and im not talking stock honda compressions) 2.5'' is more then plenty for what you want.the Greddy is not 2.5'' its also 60mm which is fine as well.. the header and its collector are whats holding back any gains at this point.

Bisi headers are cool, but known for cracking. Inspect it thoroughly before you make the deal.

"Bisi headers are cool"? Bisimoto outsources his headers to a sweatshop in China somewhere. Totally inferior product. Google it if you don't believe.

I know them well. I paid top dollar for a brand new one. I just didnt want to completely bash the product. Some people like them. I personally would not buy another one ever.

wow does he really? i did not know that. i figured his stuff was all in house.

I know the H22 header has a gap on one of the runners that connects the 4 to the 2 part. quite a nuisance.
