Default B18a1 noise

i have a 1991 CRX Si that im throwing a B18a1 in. a buddy of mine gave me the motor for doing numerous amount of work on his cars and what not. and im kinda already broke as far as money goes doing all this.. sourced out some hasport b to ef mounts, a B16A SiR transmission Y1, brand new axles and all the extras.. but i was looking for parts i need to change out now.. and happened to put the block on a engine stand.. flipped it upside down, removed oilpan / crank plate / oil pickup screen.. and im checking out the crank.. crank spins freeley and no obstructions.. but im hearing a hissing noise coming from the cylinder closest to the oil pump.. i understand these things are huge pumps but from my understanding too im assuming i have a piston ring shot?? is that the way its supposed to sound? if its any help the timing belt isnt on and i have the cams set in a position that the valves are not coming into contact with the pistons. timing belt is destroyed.. it didnt get destroyed on its own but when i went to take the tensioner off somehow the spring fell between the bottom crank gear and the belt and crushed the spring / fucked up the belt.. so i got a new belt and a few others coming in the mail tomorrow.. but im not sure where the air is hissing from if its normal or what not. but it seems like its coming from cyl1 closest to the oil pump, i can hear the hiss when the pistons traveling up and down.. once it gets to top dead center or bottom dead center is when the hissing stops. any ideas or tips are appreciated..

I started reading your novel and stopped because didnt want to read that fluster cuck of a paragraph....sure the other viewers didnt either. Something to think about.....just like in that other book you posted.

People with that attitude tend to get banned. Im sure you dont care though, so its all good. Your contribution im sure will be greatly missed....

You joined the site about 3 years ago, and have 55 posts (including your own requests for advice). I think that makes you part of the problem (viewing, but not replying). But then again, is there really a problem with viewing a post and choosing not to reply if we don't have the answer??

My advice would be to compression test it. I'm building my h22 right now (first time) and I am also hear my pistons make almost a slurping noise as they slide up/down the oiled walls. That is with the head off.

That is all the advice I can give. Since the timing belt is off, I am going to "assuuuume" that the oil pump is not turning to pressurize the system....but I am guessing you can also check the path of the pumped oil for any leaks or broken o-rings/seals/etc. Of course, it's just logic that tells me to consider this because I just recently learned the pathways of oil, jets, journals, rod bearing holes, etc.
