Well the other day i was sure my alternator went bad so I replaced it with a reman one.Then on the way home from work tonight it started to do the same thing,while driving the headlights and dash lights started to dim and radio shut off and when I pushed on the throttle the it cut out. While to car was off but key on when the radio came back on i was able to start the car but as it idled the headlight dimmed and then it died again ???/

 

well pretty sure the alternator is crap when i check it with a volt meter only putting out 11.8v and when i disconected battery car dies

 

Does the charge system light in the cluster remain on while driving?

Have you tested the large alternator wire that runs to the hood fuse box?
