05 Civic JDM swap- Few issues, need help!!
Ok, I just did a engine swap on my 05 civic EX Automatic, because the engine was locked up. The swap was successful and the engine runs great but there is a few small issues. The check engine light is on and giving me these codes: P2647 & P0706. There is no vtec pressure switch on the JDM engine so I can't swap my old solenoid with the switch from my old engine. So I'm guessing I have to bypass? The other code is transmission range switch which I'm not exactly sure where that's located or what that is, your help would be much appreciated!
Also, I'm having an issue with the fans. When you turn they key, the fans starting spinning full blast without even starting the car. Once started, both fans stay on. Not sure if I need to switch temp switch or what. Also, my cluster is acting weird. The tach doesn't work anymore, just once in a blue moon, and my speedo works off and on, I'm thinking maybe a bad connection to the ecu or something, not sure.
Also, is there anything I must replace from my old engine to the JDM engine? Harness, computer, EGR, (JDM engine came with EGR, but look slightly different)?
Y'all's help would be much appreciated!!!!! I just want everything working like factory. Im sure there is one tech out there who can resolve mg issues. Thank you!!!

Usually you get P2647 from low oil but, I think you're getting the VTEC pressure switch code because the ECM/PCM (computer) is looking for the switch and it isn't there. You could try to bypass or use the JDM ECM/PCM. If you use the JDM you probably need to use the JDM EGR. *Also, the JDM may not be wired the same.
The transmission range switch is attached to that big connector on the transmission that you had to disconnect to swap engines. I surmise it has a bad connection from being disconnected and reconnected. Disconnect it, look for bent/corroded/burnt terminals, fix any bad ones, then reconnect and reset the ECM/PCM: with the vehicle OFF, disconnect the ECM/PCM fuse (#6) in the under-hood fusebox for at least 10 seconds. Did the code come back?

I'm actually using the JDM EGR right now, should I be using the Usdm one? I will try that for the tranny code, worse case scenario I'll have to just replace the switch. Would that have any effect on the tranny or if there's a bad connection to the ECU, would that effect the tranny? The reason I ask is because it feels like it flares at times and while on the highway just a while ago there was like a hock up. Just seeks like something isn't right. My tach and cruise control doesn't work either and speedo is off and on, odometer works fine. What do you think that could be? Vss looked fine.
-Just stay with the JDM EGR.
-You need to test the transmission range switch first. That would tell us whether it's the switch or something else.
-Look for bad connections at the ECM/PCM. I don't see this being the issue unless you've disconnected the ECM/PCM.
-Look for bad grounds although, I don't see that being the problem either.
-Look over all the connections that were disconnected during the swap.
Just a shot in the dark- did you reconnect the battery before reconnecting any connectors?

No, we had the battery disconnected and ECU disconnected. a buddy of mine did mostly everything. Kind of rushed a bit at the very very end and put the ecu back pretty quick and it was dark, that's why I say maybe a loose connection. The ecu was the very last thing that was put back.
What do you think about the tach and speedo not working and the fans on all the time as soon as you start the car?
