Default 97 accord distributor

Just bought a new junkyard motor for my car and noticed they robbed distributor and coil from it, can't get a response from them about getting one so I may use my old one, question is can it be installed wrong? I know it has tabs that have to line up, but can they be lined wrong?

It cannot be installed wrong, because you have to align 3 holes for those nuts

I know 3 nuts on outside, but can it be turned wrong on inside? Giving spark to the wrong cylinder?

I would say no because the tab is "off center"....how ever people have done it.

Put the motor to TDC #1, then install the dist with the dist rotor and be sure the dist rotor is pointing to where the #1 dist cap wire is.
