K20 custom intake fitted now running like shit, vid inside, help please?
I've just fitted a Venom custom intake on my K swapped EG. Previous it was running the standard intake and running bang on.
It's all connected up like the original however it has this problem. The revs are up and down drastically and when I connect this last breather it idles mega low or just goes too low and cuts out.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Dan
Could there be some dirt or "goo" in that little red tube ?. but do you mean the intake MANIFOLD or the little pipe with the filter(big diffrence when trying to help).
Intake manifold, the pipes brand new and it was the same with the OEM pipe on that one side. I'm starting to think it's a problem at the throttle body side now :/
have you set the idle screw/are you using an aftermarket tb ? if aftermarket the screw won't be set for a proper idle. in this case looks like it's set to low ?(if it's a new aftermarket one) don't forget to calibrate the TPS if so. i had to fight with my tb screw to get a happy idle when i first got it my idle shot up to 4K rpm lol.
Using standard throttle body mate so no idle screw.
Throttle body is un touched kinda thing, bolted it off and bolted it back on with the new mani.

Mine has an idle screw that's why I asked. if that's the case i really don't know what you would do kinda difficult without an idle screw imo.
so there is no way at all to adjust idle? Thats weird.. perhaps getting a ball valve and connecting it inline to the red hose and slowly let it leak(like a MBC) to raise your idle to the right level you desire.. done.
