When i purchased my vehicle there wasnt front LH and RH fender liner and my filter was exposed to the elements... especially WATER!!! I dont want a hydrolocked engine so i went to my dealer here and purchased the liners. As im installing them im noticing some tight fitments and especially around the filter area on the driver side i cant get some clips in. Im not finding anything crazy about modifications for injen cold air. Any suggestions????

 

did you buy them for the correct year?

 

Yes and from a dealer so i would think they wouldnt be elcheapo ones that are crappy made and barely make specs

not that i know of. ive checked out the frame and ive had a few guys underneath as we did our combing and no one found anything. im thinkning it has to be because of the injen cold air. Are there certain full tubed cold air systems that have this problem? I found that the washer wiper reservoir needs to be changed and injen comes with a replacement for that reason but the previous owner i guess didnt think that through and just got rid of the whole system... (DUMB MOVE)!

 

You need to cut the liner for the intake arm

 

i think im going to just trade off that intake tube so i wont need to cut the liner. I was hoping it wouldnt come to that but it looks like its a must. I WONT CUT THE LINER! thanks for the help
