Hey first post on here and in need of some help! Sold my hyundai for a crx just love the style and got a good deal on one, anyways been fixing small things before I start doing mods and here is what I got
1991 honda crx si
D16y8 engine, unknown tranny
Idle is weird, from cold start it sometimes barely starts then stalls, once you get it starting it is doing rev bounces from like 900 revs then up to 2k revs then back down and sometimes stalls during that
Something wrong with throttle body? I got it cleaned or something else my mechanic did it for me friend said it may be oak sensor?
This started happening after I swapped my battery, I had a lead bat in my passenger compartment so got a new sealed and is under dash now, also midway my idiot friend wired a switch up wrong and smoke started pouring out of car, switch to fan on radiator and the wire to all that looks burned bad but nothing else seems to have done anything
Also CEL sometimes comes on, this happened before battery though
Also probably unrelated subject there sounds like a grinding noise coming from engine when the exhaust noise is dow around 2-2.5k revs ideas?

Wow guys..thought this forum would of been a good one..
If anyone cares to put input it would be appreciate, also today the second It was idling fine and I opened door revs started dropping and stalled, ideas?
