strokes rev and displacment (Dseries)
doing some research and looking for any additional info ive missed.
my first big question is if a d15 or d16 is DEstroked to something smaller giving it a much safer rod ratio, and valves/springs/cams, would it be capable of performing more then stock power at higher rev?
Bore and Stroke : 75.0 mm × 67.5 mm was thinking of retrofitting something like this to a A6 or Z6 head as its the same bore and hoping its mountable.
also below is some info ive found if anyone else has some ideas. im basically aiming for a higher revving rod ratio that can work safely even if its lower compression, boost can fix that.
D17--
Bore and Stroke : 75 mm × 94.4 mm
Rod Length: 137 mm
Rod/Stroke: 1.48:1
deck 212
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D16
Bore and Stroke: 75.0 × 90.0 mm (2.95 x 3.54 in)
Displacement: 1,590 cc (97 cu in)
45mm rod journals, and 48mm BE bores.
Rod Length: 137 mm
Rod/Stroke: 1.52:1
deck 212
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D15
Bore and Stroke : 74.0 x 86.5 mm (d15a1 d15a3)
Bore and Stroke : 75 mm × 84.5 mm
42mm rod journals, and have 45mm BE bores
Rod Length : 137 mm
Rod/Stroke : 1.62:1
deck 207
