Default CW type r's slower!?

OK laltey i have heared that the 98 99 cw type r's are slower than the 00 01 type r's b/c of the cams.The 00 01 type r's have the exact same cams at the CTR while the cw's dont.The intake cam is which is diffrent b/w the two. what do you guys know a/b this and is it really true or just another myth

Yeah, the 00-01's have a slightly more aggressive intake cam, but they are still pretty identical. I don't think the power difference is anything signifigant at all. Just my opinion. And yes, the search button is your friend.

That's like saying Toda Spec C's are pretty identical. What's a few mm of difference here and there?

00-01 cams have more duration than 97-98 cams.

I meant the power between the different years, not the cams themselves. But after reading the post I guess it sounds confusing.

The reason why the 00-01 intake cam is more aggresive is to make up the loss power of stricter emissions supposedly. So they are pretty much the same.

Yellow ones dyno stock at 200whp and run mid 13's, while CW R's dyno mid 160's and run mid 14's.
