honda crv o2 sensor problem please help
engine light came on had diagnostics done it said that I had to replace oxygen sensor, replaced oxygen sensor with NTK Lambda Sensor but engine light will not go off what do I do now, can anyone help me out here
What year CR-V? What was the code number? Which oxy sensor did you replace? I'm not familiar with the NTK brand sensor, does it have the oem plug end or just a bunch of loose wires, if the wires are loose is it possible 2 or 3 got switched to the wrong socket? Did you turn the engine light off after you replaced the sensor?
The year of the crv is 05 . Unsure of code number. Replaced bank 1 oxy sensor. The replacement sensor has the oem plug end. Mechanic fitted it sop I need to check with him about light but as far as I know he tried everything. Thanks for reply.
Hi;
I have a 2003 CRV and I also have O2 problems.I just bought mine a week ago.I was driving and the light came on.i remembered that the guy I bought it from gave me a pile of invoices from service work he had done on the car,and had said a o2 sensor had been replaced at a cost of over $400.00.So i looked through the invoices and found the it had been replaced(sensor 1) just a month ago.The code was PA420.My light will come on and stay on for a day or so then go out.And guess what the code is.PA420,same code.It's on right now.The guy at the shop said it needs an O2 sensor.I told him that the one in it is just over 1 month old.His answer was "well thats the code".
Something must be up with these crv's if other ones of the same era are having the same problem.Does AHM have a bulletin on this matter? And if so how can we find out?I like the car,but I have to admit it has me concerned.It replaced an Altima that i drove for 9 years(hard)that had no problems other than maintenance.My first Honda is not welcoming me to the family.
Looking forward to what folks have to say about this era of CRV's.

this might work, might not. But clear the ECU. it can be done one of two ways that I use. One is to unplug the ECU from behind the kick panel just unplug all the molex connectors. that is more complicated than just disconnecting the battery but it doesnt reset your radio.
That's what I would try first. In all my hondas just changing the part doesn't clear the check engine light.

The code is important.
also there are 2 o2 sensors.
personally I use Denso o2 sensors.
Autozone, Advance Auto etc can plug their code reader in and give you the code.
