got a hood for my 91 civic hatch, but it ended up being the wrong one. I've attatched a couple pictures of the labels that are on the underside, but i can't find a specific year anywhere other than where it says it complies to 88 EPA standards. I was hoping someone might be able to tell what year it is based on the diagram, or whatever else.

it's literally just barely too wide to fit, about an inch and a half, two inches too wide.
I just wanna be able to give whomever i'm selling it to accurate information, so they don't end up making the same stupid mistake I did. Guy i got it from said it'd fit.
pretty much the same picture, just took multiples to make sure all the two labels could be properly read. I can go out there with a tape measure if needed.

too wide or too long?

if its too long its from a sedan, if its too wide the only things i can think of is a jdm sedan or the wagon, only a guess.

That sucks you got the wrong hood, but sweet you're trying to id it for the next guy.

I looked at you pics and its a USDM hood, either wagon or sedan.

 

If it doesn't fit, it's gotta be from a sedan or wagon.
All 88-91 US Crx/Civic hatchbacks share the same hood.

 

It's too wide, i'm not too sure about the length. Sorry for the delay in replies, but thank you for the answers. Is the sedan/wagon hood interchangeable? The guy i got it from had numerous hondas in his backyard, but if my hazy memory serves me correctly, the only thing the same color was a wagon. Again, thank ya'll for the help, really appreciate it.

 

it sucks when aholes sell you crap that doesn't fit saying it will. the world'll never get rid of such people.
at least there are people like you who would rather make sure parts fit in order to avoid creating such situations

 

a picture of the hood itself might actually help. the labels will just id the emissions stuff for the car it originally came on.
