You really need me to answer that? Lol! Drive it yeah its a car, smog yeah if you put it back to stock and install all the emissions. Show car? Guess you can say that

no mine didn't come w/ one when i bought it ten years ago. i was told by the owner it was from his 97 ITR which not all of those year motors come w/ vins. this is something R guys might know cuz i've been told this by more than person so i assumed that was legit enough considering there were a total of 320 ITR's produced in 1997 & out of that many made, 34 of them had unused badges. not sure if that meant those never had vin plates either. all i got w/ the block was a bill of sale w/ his info & sig. i've owned it for 13 years & never had any doubts since.
i also heard from another ITR owner that he had his blown motor replaced by the dealership back in late 98 and that the block they replaced his with did not have one as well & what they did was transfer over his vin plate to the new block since his car had full warranty at that time.
like i said, have had no concerns about it for 13 years.
