i just got pulled over :-(
so i am riding back to my house to put the bike away since it looks like rain
trying to get into rightmost lane to turn right, some punk in a truck is pacing me to try to race or something. so i miss my turn and figure i'll go around the litle punk, i make the next right and so does he, i miss 2nd gear and then blow by him, he catches up and i accelerate again, pulling away. he stays on it and AGAIN i pull away. the local speed limit was 45 and i was or maybe i wasnt at about double that. maybe i was maybe i wasnt - you be the judge. i'd never speed.
so punk *** turns off and i need to make a right to double back to my place. so i get to the next right and GUN IT. its cool out and my bike wont power wheelie in the summer but it got REAL light in the front the thing almost wheelied, i shift into 2nd and i am at about 70 now, and i let off and coast down to 45...
a few seconds later, sirens and lights behind me.
cop comes up, i am occifer blah blah, "do you know how fast you were going"
me: "i think i hit 60. i know that's not acceptable"
cop: "you took off pretty fast from that light. i clocked you at 63."
(phew he didnt clock me when i was taunting that truck.)
i respond "yeah i been having some transmission problems and..."
cop: "did you have it looked at?"
me: "yeah i took it to plano kawasaki and they..."
cop: "what did they say"
me: "they said to change the transmission fluid and warm it up and see if it does it again"
cop: "oh, well this is a 45mph zone. do you think you could take it out on the highway? the speed limit is 60 on the highway"
me: "yessir, i was just on lunch trying to..."
cop: " your hands are shaking, are you nervous, do you have any outstanding warrants for your arrest? "
me: "oh no sir, i am just out enjoyin the ride" (and trying to relax from the adrenaline rush of the punk *** kid racing me)
cop: "ok i'll run your license and i'll be back in a minute"
2 min later
cop: "your registration is out on this bike"
me: "yeah i went to the DMV and they said wait til you get a letter since its registered in the denton county instead of collin"
cop: "no you have to get it registered in this county since we have tougher emissions laws here"
me: "oh ok. the bike was purchased in denton county i guess thats why it got registered there"
cop: "ok well get that taken care of" handing license back to me. and he walks away.
i am the luckiest sonofabitch on the earth.

HAHA damn, you are lucky man......He wasnt too much of a dick...
I rode around a week w/ out having my bike registered (im glad i didnt waste the $79 to register it, cuz i dont have hte bike now), and when i was in traffic, i got stopped, the cop was nice, i told him the truth, tried to show him the bill of sale that i actually bought it a couple days ago, but he was too busy looking at my UF shirt and asking me questions about the university because thats where his daughter is trying to go......lol, so i honestly think UF got me out of a ticket, hehehe, and i didnt even have my motorcycles endorsement yet, LOL lucky me......
last summer, i was going through this intersection, and it sloped down a little (i was on a TL1000R) and some ricer was trying to **** w/ me so i decided to be a showoff and do a little wheelie and smoke him.....a few cars back, there was a cop......i freaked out, and RAN RAN RAN.......bad thing to do, but i never got caught lol......but i didnt say that either....
moral of the story......KILL PUNK DRIVERS

yeah... just like the racing thing, i may or may not have transmission problems, and i may or may not have taken it to plano kawasaki but i may be a very good bullshit artist.

i was laughing in my helmet and jumping up and down on the seat of my bike when i turned off and the cop u-turned back to his hiding spot.
Not bad Falcon, lucky dude! I havent been caught yet, (knocks on wood). It will happen, I am always speeding. Its impossible not to, right?
Ya, that cop could have done some damage, but lucky indeed. Ride safe! Ignore punk *** people

A friend and I got pulled over for doing 165mph the cop was in a camaro and had a hard time catching up. He gave us a hard time but no tickets.
won't be doing that again!! I was so happy I didn't get a ticket.
Your lucky, learn from it and try not to do it again.
Why won't your bike ride wheelies in the summer?

yep, u got lucky.... around here the cops are pretty lenient too... i got pulled over popping a wheelie... cop just gave me a lecture bout how dangerous, bloah, blah, blah... ran my license and let me go... phew... but when i got back on my bike, the damn chain snapped coming down from the wheelie.... the cop laughed and turned on his sirens so i could push my bike across the street.... i bet he cracked up in the car.... as for me i had a 2 mile push on a tlr... man these things are heavy... peace and be careful out there... l8rz

warmer air is thinner, colder air is more dense and so you fill the cylinder with more air/fuel and my bike makes more power/torque.
Good break tho falcon, how in hell did you get off for 165mph nsxxtreme?
Some girl in a silver teg revved me for some reason late last night on my way home. It was like 40F, no wind. I had my back protector on in addition to my leathers so I was feeling confident. Actually I was making a left but she made a little blow off in my direction as she passed the intersection so I decided to give her a little love.
Tucked in behind her and passed her topping 3rd. I'm thinking a b18c1 w/ a drag kit at around 8pounds.
Anyways, that's my story. I don't even see the ricers anymore. Honestly, normal acceleration will beat them. I'm talking 1/4 throttle, shortshifting under 6k
Your bike makes that much more power? I'm thinking its mental dude,
you've probly heard the rule: 11 degrees temp drop = 1% more horsepower.
A little more pep, yes. The thing I notice the most is the throttle response... its not faster but its a stronger initial "push" if that makes any sense. Normally it takes like 2 or 3 firings to be pushing hard from a cruising crack. Now it seems to hit hard on the next revolution. However, I simply meant that the front being light and wanting to come up now as opposed to before might be a bit mental as well as a pinch more power. Maybe it is a bit lighter, faster but i shouldn't be coming up all of a sudden. NEver mind, I think you know what I mean. Actually following suit w/ your luck w/ the cop, maybe you are making 20 ft/lb more.
