Hello guys.

I have a 96 hatch with a y7. The car was originally automatic but I have recently swapped it to 5 speed (about 2 months ago). The car still has the automatic cluster in it (DX) with the PRD21 gear selectors on it. Today I got in the car and proceeded to turn it on and started driving when I noticed the speedometer was acting odd. It would fluctuate randomly there the mph or sometimes not work at all. I arrived at my destination and when I was going to leave I got in the car and put the key into accessory and noticed that the P AND R lights were on simultaneously. I then started the car and both the P and R selector lights stayed on at the same time. As I was driving the light remained on and the speedometer continued acting practically. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? I havent replaced the speed sensor but I suspect that could be the culprit according to doing searches through thr forum.
