Default Cam Seal Leak 2000 SI?

Does this look like a cam seal leak? I smell burning coolant and oil every time I get out of my car after driving, but it is a SUPER slow leak. Any comments or anything?

Thanks!

those leak all the time. while you're at it, i would do a new vc gasket, vtec solenoid gasket, and a distributor o-ring.

Okay, is there any specific way to tell if those really do need replacing or if they are fine? Because I recently bought this car so I am not sure what work has recently been done on it. Just hit the 125000 mile mark, but the guy I bought it from said that he did change the timing belt, balance belt, and water pump at 105,000 so it seems like he kept it tuned up well.

Just replace it. They are known to leak. There is no sure fire to test it that one spot is leaking.

normally its the gasket that sits against the side of the head.that needs replacing cause it gets hot...the inner vtec solenoid gasket just needs periodic filter cleaning

If you're looking at pinpointing the exact leak spot, then you should clean up that entire area. Then see where the oil/leak is coming from.

I have a similar issue with my prelude. What is the best cleaner I can use to clean the area?

It's a simple fix. Replace it and don't use excessive sealant on the cam cap as it will cause it to leak. These parts have very close tolerances to much sealant will actually make it leak.

Also, be sure to get the cam plug for the exact car your head is from.

There IS a difference between the P30 / P72 / etc..
