Default What year B18C motor is this?

on the head it has 9/3 in the first circle to the left and to the extrem left it has P72-2. On the Block it has
B18C
1006331
on the grren tag on the block it has
JH4DC239XXS001717.

Makes me wonder if the head isnt off a B17 and block is a B18.

b17s still used a pr3 head. that VIN brings up a 99 gsr. are you sure it's not a b18c1?

If your head says p72 than you have a 94-01 gsr. It is possible you head was made the for the 94 models that were sold at the end of 93.

it's weird that it is a b18c and has a vin tag for a usdm car. i wonder if someone rigged that.

Its a JDM GSR block that a previous owner or yourself rigged a vehicles existing vin tag on.

head stamped 93 indicates a 1993 build date that was intended for vehicles sold in 1994, that being said it is the first year production of the 1.8L GSR engine.

1994 1.8L GSR

So, instaed of buying fuel injectors for a 97 I should be buying injectors for a 94?

it doesn't matter, the injectors are the same (minus the plug). you just need to get one with the correct plug for your engine harness.
