Ok, so my car has a popping/clunking sound coming from the front driver side i believe (not sure), while driving straight down a road. Plus the steering has a little shake while i hear the popping. When i go in to a turn it goes away. And the noise is more prone when driving 55 and higher. Heres the list of the things ive changed.

The drivers axle was changed recently before i got it a month ago, but the boot has a little tear with a little grease coming out.
I changed the passengers right when i got it due to it about to come it apart.
Sway bar mount and end link bushings.
Inner and outer tie rods, had an alignment right after. The rack bushings looked fine and i couldn't get it to move at all. I even tightened the adjustment bolt.

Ive tried to move both front wheels with it on the lift and everything is tight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I'd check your lower then upper ball joints. Ball joints tend to pop. I say if the boots are torn replace them. Does the boot on the cv axle looks like it is getting stretched? Make sure your cv axle is all the way in the transmission, meaning you couldn't pull it out by hand, maybe the wrong axle? Try looking at all your motor mounts, also turn on the car and rev the engine pretty high while looking at your motor, if it shake up and down only a bit , your good, if a lot then yeah bad. Can break axles with a lot of engine/tranny movement.

Thanks for the reply, ill definitely check that out. I had it on the lift today and tried moving both axles. I changed the passenger side as stated, so i held the axle and tried to move it in and out of the transmission to see any play and none on the passenger but on the driver i had some play. Not too sure of how much is normal.

 

how are the engine mounts.

check bushing for radius rod.
