Icon6 Prop Valve Question:

I recently installed a GSR rear disk conversion on my 97 CX Hatchback, I have a 40/40 prop valve laying around, if I install it, will it make a difference or no?

Thanks.

I've heard rumors that with the 40/40 prop valve, it will actually brake more with the rear brakes than the fronts, and sometimes they also lock up. How true is this?

Yes I am, i'm planning on going with slotted Stoptech rotors pretty soon, with Stoptech pads as well. Nothing special.

You're confused. That's if you keep the stock prop. valve after switching to disc.

^^^that's weird because I have been driving it for about a month already on the stock 96' prop valve and it hasn't locked up on me, yet.

The reason why i'm asking if it would make a (stopping/braking) difference is because ever since I installed it, I never really felt any difference in the (stopping/braking). It basically feels as if when I still had my drums on.

I am pretty sure all 96-00 Civic came with a 40/40 prop valve. Parts numbers are the same between a 99 SI and a 97 CX.
