ok so i have a b18b1 turbo EG hatch. dyno tuned at 350hp 296 tq. i havnt driven the car anywhere due to my license being suspended but the car is still started every single day.

so i wake up to start my car and she turns on with no problem. i let her warm up im jammin out to music an then i decided to put more music onto my usb. i go inside upload more music go back out i start the car back up and im jammin out and all of a sudden the car shuts off. so i was like oh wtf. so i try to turn it back on an it cranks over an all but it doesnt want to turn on. i let it sit for a bit and i try again an its still cranking an not turning on. (i have a half tank of gas btw) so i tried one last time and i heard a very weird strange noise. im not sure if it was crankling or grinding or if it was me buggin out. i didnt want to try cranking it again just incase of something happening so i let the car be and i go inside for a while. i go back out to TRY ONE MORE TIME TO SEE WHATS UP an NOW the car wont even crank over. it just makes a noise as if my air is blowing at fullblast when it wasnt even on...

what is the problem. the prev owner told me to unplug computer and check fuses an check main fuel relay. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE PEOPLE!!!!! i cant check compression because it wont crank now!!!

check your grounds. and maybe jump the battery, maybe the battery died from a bad alternator?

 

Have you even checked for the common causes of no start?
Does it have spark?
Does it have fuel? Do you here the fuel pump prime when key is turned to "on" position?
Did the timing belt snap?
Did you do check the things the po told you to do?
Battery is good? Terminals clean and on tight?
Good grounds?

From what you described doing a compression test will not doing anything for you as far as starting the car and why it wont run. Has nothing to do with your problem.

 

i mean the car was screeching for 2 seconds when i first started it up. then it went away. maybe it was alternator. i will be checking everything momentarily

It doesnt sound like the battery, does the car still get power without it cranked? (do the cabin lights come on)
It sounds like the alternator to me. You should check the belt or remove the alternator and take it to autozone they should be able to test it free.

 

Kareemish. There was also barely any oil. Do you think it seized up?

 

Barely any wouldnt make it seize, especially not driving the car and it just idleing once a day.

Stick to checking the most common things first before getting off track

 

your starter may have kicked the bucket or the wire might have came off the starter if its not cranking over

 

Nah Hondas can run with little to no oil man.

im not worried about the starting problem. im concerned about WHY THE CAR JUST RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE IT WAS RUNNING

 

why would the car just RANDOMLY shut off like that.. it was running. i shut off. i go inside. i go an start the car again and its idling and running fine an it just shuts off

The starting problem is more than likely directly related to why it cut off on it's own. If you aren't going to follow the advice given to you, why did you even bother asking for help in the first place?

No one knows what you did. You never stated if you even attempted to check the things asked by previous posters. Did you try the flow chart posted?
