EF d16a6/sohc ZC axles
What is the general feeling on axles for d16a6/sohc ZC? Are regular autozone axles acceptable or is there a higher quality option?
This is for a lightly modded engine so power output is not extreme.
Thanks

Should be fine.
However rebuilt axles sometimes snap, but I've only heard of that with aggressive race driving or substantially more hp than stock.
If the shaft has been rebuilt several times (you never know how many times it has been traded in) the the slots for the bearings get too big.
They hand grind them to fit a larger bearing and cage.
All fine so far, but then they harden the end. This is the problem as it will fatigue the axle much faster.
So, basically hit or miss with a re-manufactured axle.
