Painting Engine Bay with NO AIR!
Alright guys, this isnt the first time ive used this method but I figured I would share it with everyone because it was my only option this time around.
Things you need:
Tape
stripped engine bay
sandpaper
scotchbrite pads
primer
wax and grease remover
single stage urethane paint
Preval spray gun( Oreilly auto parts)
1000-1500 grit/buffer ( if you chose to wetsand/buff)
Im sure I forgot some stuff but here are the steps I did.
*Stripped the engine bay of almost everything.
* sanded down with 200ish grit
*went over with scotchbrite pad
*primed
*wiped down with wax and grease remover
*painted ( 2 coats )
* wetsanded and buffed the areas I could reach 2 days later

That Preval spray gun does a pretty decent job of course the prep work has a lot to do with it as well... good job! I will have to try my hand at that as well.
