2013 Odyssey Vs. Sienna
Hi Everyone,
I am contemplating buying a new minivan for my family. My cousin recently purchased the Limited Sienna (AWD) and it's nice but for some reason I think it's a tad boring. The new Odyssey design is "edgy" and although I didn't like the side view of it in the beginning, I guess I'm growing to like it now.
Anyways, I was hoping you guys can help answer the following questions for me:
- I know the Sienna and Odyssey are usually neck and neck. What does the 2013 Odyssey have over the Sienna that's a big plus?
-Are the two captain chairs in the middle row movable? I briefly read somewhere that you can adjust the middle row to create access to the third row. Either remove the eight seat and have room to walk in-between the two captain chairs of the second row, or you can move one of the captain chairs to allow access through the "side" of the second row. I ask this because I would like to be able to slide one of the captain chairs to the middle permanently and have my baby seat there instead of the side of the car. So it'll be captain chairs on one side and middle with a passageway on the other side.
- Is it worth it to go with anything above EX? (EX-L/Touring/Touring Elite). We really don't need the extras, but if it is worth it, I may consider it.
- Are the only pluses from the Touring and the Touring Elite the HID and six speed transmission? Is this six speed transmission that big of a deal?
- Would you guys rather buy a Touring or EX-L used pre-2011 Odyssey versus a basic EX 2013 Odyssey?
- Are there any changes from 2011 to 2013? If not, I may just buy a used 2011.
- Any issues w/ the 2011 and up Odyssey (engine/suspension/what to avoid)?
Thank you in advance!
