Default Ebay Full Exhaust

I was wondering if anyone had experience with ebay exhaust and headers. Heres the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-5-TIP-CATB...sories&vxp=mtr I already ordered it and have it in hand. Very light and the metal feels thick. The measurements where spot on and the welding was preatty darn good. Im going to install it with a home made intake (pictures up soon) then have it tuned. Also installing a 2.5 inch test pipe. If i get enough people interested in the out come i will post up results.

the fitment is HORRIBLE on 99% of ebay junk the header will most likley end up cracking. if you think that ebay exhaust is light go pick up a skunk 2 or any other reputable brand exhaust. by fitment i mean the hangers will be of or it will not go over the rear lca properly.

For $163, I guess you can't go wrong for a full exhaust especially considering a good catback is $400+.

I just had a ebay cat back taken off my car after getting a ticket for a loud exhaust. I was using a regular cat converter and ebay headers too. The sound was really nice and it performed well, only downside was the sound and that you would hear a raspy/rattling noise sometimes because the crappy resonator.

I installed a stock exhaust on it from a EX/SE. I don't notice any difference in power either, its strange. I guess its because the downpipe and cat. converter is a 2" size, same as stock, not 2.25" like the ebay cat back was. I don't really get why the company I bought the ebay exhaust from has a 2" downpipe and a 2.25" exhaust. It kind of defeats the purpose of the larger exhaust.

The ebay headers are working very well though, I put heat wrap on em and noticed the power and sound increased positively. Only problem with the ebay stuff is the gaskets aren't good, so you need to make one or find a specialty one if want to keep re-using them.

I say just let him go through the ropes and figure it out.

But yeah I agree is probably going to have bad fitment and if you saved just a little longer you could have a better quality exhaust

Jeez you guys jumped right into biting me on the a$$. Im doing this to my gs r because i have the time (sort of) and a little money i jerked from the piggy bank. Plus i have never seen anyone actually do these bolt ons and put up the results. Who knows, im not expecting wicked power increment, but if i do see positive results I'll let you guys know. Also I'm tired of these expensive bolt ons, and if i can save the average Joe a few bucks by this experiment i would feel accomplished. BTW i would never use no name brands for the inside of the engine!!! Just a side note: The welding was really good no holes according to the human eye. skunk 2 exhaust felt just as light, thats what i have mounted in my car at the moment.

I have an Ebay full exhaust kit on my 91' EF civic hatch, and it sounds just fine to me. And I have friends who have the skunk2 and it doesn't really sound what I would call better. And have bottomed out a couple times and scraped to where I saw sparks. Checked up and down the exhuast and caused minor cosmetic scrape damage, no punctures. So it is what i have seen and heard a good buy for the money and mos def a good starter full exhuast for a temp stylish look till you can find or afford better or to have permanently.

If you have the skunk2 on your car then why the hell would you have bought the ebay exhaust and why are you going to install it?

DirtyDA9 im doing this to experiment, you could say, if eBay stuff i really that crappy. yes I've hear of many horror stories but i would like to find out for my self and eventually inform others. So far every part fits basically perfect. The last thing im going to do is install it and see if i get better numbers. Which i doubt but who knows...

If you're going to try to look cool by using that phrase, at least use it properly, cause you just failed at that.

go for it, its your car, I personally wouldn't because Ive seen some ebay exhaust and they arent the best in terms of quality referring to the welds not holding up and cracking due to dirty welds and poor quality control because usually ebay exhaust are chinese crap. I have a DC sports catback single canister exhaust on my civic second hand from a friend and it still looks brand new in terms of finish and quality welds and its 1 or 2 years old.

I am sure it will sound decent at first. Keep us posted on the sound after 6 months, then 1 year etc etc\

My apexi WS2 still sounds great after 5 years.

The muffler is junk, you can get away with the rest I suppose.
i'd cut off the muffler and use a custom one that won't sound like poo.

Im keeping my sk2 exhaust lol. okay for the ebay exhaust i haven't put it on the dyno yet but it sounds sick AF like i kinda like it better than my sk2. is that a sin? well anyways at least for its first day i was impressed, im not going to lie. I hope to put it on the dyno this weekend.

On a side note i was pulling out of Shell shifted at 5k rpm and was pulled over 1 second later. 3 tickets from the cop. Loud exhaust, not yielding when i clearly did, and almost causing an accident when there was no cars near me lol. Anyways i have two cameras in my car that look through the windshield and into the car. After he gave me the tickets i took the footage to his supervisor and the cop is in deep dudu. I still have to go to court and miss work and school. Moral of the story... you dirty cops out there hassling teens like me for no reason guess what momma raised a man and i wont stand down for your injustice. YOU ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW!!! (rant over)

eBay exhausts are peices of **** don't buy them they have bad piping badwelding bad fitment bad muffler it sounds like **** after a couple of days. Since you already bought it what I would do is reweld all the cheap weldings on it and replace the muffler with an aftermarket brand muffler and it wouldnt be too bad.
