Default 91 EF Civic HB resto?

So I bought a little 91 EF from a guy on CL for about $780.
I thought it'd be cool as a little project to fix it up and what not.
It will be my daily driver, not really for racing or anything like that at least not anytime soon.
The car is originally red, the guy cheaply painted it black, lowered it a bit, (The front is a lot lowered than the back), but it ran perfectly, The interior was pretty good, no rips, no cracks on the dash, just dirty but nothing a good cleaning can't fix. (Sorry no pics of interior at the moment)
Planning on getting it to look good, body wise, then I'll worry about actual paint.

Anyways, When I bought the car; It had an ugly front bumper, and hood and part of the fenders were sanded down:

Random pic of the back:

I decided eff that and I painted the fenders flat black and the hood satin black.; Came out decent, I guess; (The reason why i used 2 different blacks was because the flat black was previously used and i ran out after I sprayed the fenders and my walmart didn't have flat, so I ended up getting satin)

Yeah.... She was ugly af.

Anyways, today I went to my local junkyard and found a front bumper and the grill piece that goes above it and put it on, the grill piece fit perfectly....

But there's this huge gap between those 2 pieces, and I have no clue what to do now....

*There also seems to be a gap between the hood and that grill piece which I'm not too worried about at this moment.
**EDIT: I just checked and my hood wasn't closed all the way so thats probably why the gap seemed huge af.

I could lift the bumper a tiny bit but there'd still be a gap.
Any ideas on why this gap is there? Any clue on how to fix it or make it less noticeable?

I was thinking I could just bondo the gap or something like that....

Are you talking about the piece that goes between the hood and bumper?

EDIT:
Grill piece (Part between Hood and bumper), came off a 90 civic hatch.
Bumper, came off a 91 civic. (Not a hatch, So I'm guessing sedan?)

When I went to the junkyard, the original bumper was there (from the hatch), but didn't have that metal support piece behind it. (That bolts on to the frame of the car)
but there was a 91 civic right next to it, So I took off that bumper, compared it to the hatch's bumper and they looked identical.
So I took the civic's bumper cuz it had everything.

Could this be why there's that gap? Because I took the bumper from a non hatch?

I think that a sedan bumper, and you need to get the 88-89 it different than the 90-91 bumper, the style and the support.

You're right. I feel stupid.

Anyways, I took the metal support thing off the white bumper and put it on this ugly black bumper that actually came off a hatch. So i put that metal piece on and put it on the car to see if it fits......

and it does, for the most part. It's not actually bolted on just yet, its supported by some random onjects i had laying around.
I'll get around to bolting it on after I paint that bumper and whenever I have time cuz work and school is kicking my *** right now.

*The hood isn't closed all the way

Picture to show the gap,

Well its there but hopefully when I screw on the bolts it should go away. Hopefully.

Looks something like mines except my Hatch is red and it has alot of primer spots. But I have the same ugly black bumper. I have been looking everywhere for a 91 hatch bumper that can be painted same color as the car becuase I dont want to keep the black bumper and the rest of the car red. The only thing I want black is the trim around the side and the front/back bumper. But anyways I like the car bro. Im excited to c how this turns out!

I'm gonna paint this bumper for sure. I know I'm gonna leave the trim black but I'm still undecided on what color to paint the entire car. At first I was gonna have it all black but black is a huge dust magnet so now I'm stuck between white or gray. I'm sort of leaning towards white because I miss how Sexy that white bumper looked on my car. Haha. If I choose to paint it black them I might make all the side and front&rear bumper trim white.....)

Decisions, decisions.
And thanks man, I can't wait either! :D

I like the ideas bro. Your right about the black it deff is a dust magnet, and they only thing about white is that have to stay on top of it because its shows signs of dirt after a couple days becuase the color so bright. And gray was a color I was looking at too I seen a EG Hatch in grey and it was fresh. But idk yet I been thinking about taking it to make but everyone tells me its not worth it. But I quess it depends where u go u know. Soon ill be puttung up my restoration on here. But im on tha same boat as u skool and work.sucks...

I forgot to mention that I'm painting my car with spray cans so it's gonna look cheap but i'm using some good cans, pretty thick paint compared to shitty krylon and rustos. I'm for sure gonna get it painted at a shop at a later time tho so me painting it is just for it to be one single color, because how it is now it has like 4 different blacks and what not which is ugly.

I wish I could get like 3 days off from work so I can start painting!
But it's also been pretty windy here in Vegas for the past few days so ehh. :/

Not really a huge update or anything, But I managed to paint the ugly black front bumper.
Came out pretty nice in my opinion.

Looks a bajillion times better than how it was before. (See pics above)

Right now i'm in the process of painting the back bumper. Hopefully it comes out looking like the the front bumper!

Small update, Painted the rear bumper, the back and a fender.
I would of painted more but it got dark real quick. :/
No pictures at the moment, i'll try taking some in the morning before I go to work.

EDIT:
So i've gotten half of the car painted already.
I would attempt to paint the other half but....... I ran out of painters tape, So hopefully on Monday I will have my entire car painted.

Thanks bro! It's from a brand called Fresh Paint. It's usually more of a can for graffiti.
But the colors are nice and thick which is pretty awesome.
You can get it from oinkartltd.com, Cans are pretty cheap but shipping is what kinda ruins it. There's a color test on youtube with those cans so check that out if you want.

Why would the previous owners cut big holes in the rear bumper cover??

To let the air going under the car to escape or something like that. I don't really know why. I'm pretty sure its for racing..... I think.
