Default 2000 civic si windows bashed

hey guys im thinking about buying a civic si from a well known friend. the front, back, driver side and sunroof windows are broken. car was robbed a while back but i might be able to get it for real cheap. any idea on the cost to repair? would any 96-00 civic parts fit into the si? as far as im concerned i think its possible but confirmation would be great. thanks

oh, I thought I read that you were using hatch parts..

96-00 civic coupes have the same part number for all windows

I can get pretty pricey. when somebody broke into my integra, I had the driver glass replaced along with the windshield. $1100 with labor. Driver glass was a shade under $300.

I would check the wreckers, you would save a ton.

those prices seem more do able. i have a mechanic friend so maybe labor would cost a little less.

You can usually find one of those mobile glass guys that will do the labor for very reasonable. I found one in my area that will pull all my windows for paint then reinstall all of them for $300 including the windshield. So shop around and definitely get the glass from wrecking yards or Craiglist or Ebay.

I used to be shop manager for a used car dealership. they had a glass company, trim reconditioning company, wheel refinisher company that would come to the dealership and do all those things.

so in summation, see if there's a used car dealership and ask if they have a glass guy.

it is not hard to do. i cut a rear windshield out of an ej coupe with a box cutter at the junkyard. a lot of yards have them pre pulled. trim the adhesive down on the used glass, same with mounting surface. clean everything well with windex, apply a nice thick bead of 3m windoweld, place windshield in, re install trim. cake. i dont know where you live, but car-part.com is a nationwide junkyard search engine
