would be curious if it is blown up, down a hole or anything else. you would need a transmission in order to compression test it. and or rig up something to hold the starter in place

I would take the risk for 400 bucks. Did you see the black one that had been rear ended. Tempted to place a bid on it.

I could see that car going for 7k+ . Whoever owned it got OWNED by the insurance co. That was not a total loss.

There are a few honda only used car lots here that could probably get 13-15k for that car due to thier in house financing

atleast they show the ACV over $12k... Over 125k miles and they are still recognizing value that high... Might be good to bookmark if any need to show comparable values...

just a thought....

My brother bought one off IAAI before, he won it for a hair under 2k, but it still had tranny. Over all he got luck it was good, but this was back in 05, all he got with it is a bill of sale no vin on the motor.

so let me get this straight. a damaged unrepaired 125k salvage car is worth 7+ but that yellow one with volks and a jdm front that needs no work at all isn't worth 9k?

how do you guys figure this stuff? :lol.jpg

belive it or not but auction these days suck.. .they over pay for cars sometimes more then the street value because all these companys sell out of the country aswell so the internet has kill the business for the locals. before people use to pay locals to take them to auctions no you can bid from your house in bumbo **** the other side of the world and copart would ship you the car with out even moving out your house. so thats why honda toyota nissan sell for crazy prices. If you notice alot of used car lots are closing up because of this

I wouldnt pay 7 for a auction car. I will probly part out what ever I end up with. there are a few R's on there. IM bidding on one with out a front end. Ill probly go up to 2500 and thats about it. Ill make some money, people will get some good parts and all is well.

Or I may make a track car.... who knows.

i think the auctions/copart has something to do with the price. ive seen some cars go for crazy *** prices (burned to hell cars) and some for cheap. either way its still a good way to get cars if u want parts

imo any itr with a jdm front is worthless to me. what you dont comprehend here and its not your fault is where im from nobody has credit or brains to figure out how to get a type r. they think its some kind of ******* god that the vatican lets out of the garage. theses sub 600 fico people will drop like 5k down and do 3-400 a month for this car because otherwise they would never own a real itr.

these car lots sell eg hatches for 5k with stock motors all day long
